Some Dalton locks may require additional holes to be drilled into your door for a proper fitting. We provide detailed specifications and drilling templates to ensure accurate installation.
Please note:
- Dalton Locks LLC. is not liable for any modifications made to your door during the installation process.
- If you choose to uninstall the lock later, Dalton Locks LLC. is not responsible for any cosmetic or structural changes made to the door from the proper installation of our products.
- For more advanced lock models, it is highly recommended that the installation be performed by an authorized or licensed professional installer. Dalton Locks LLC. is not liable for damage caused by incorrect or improper installation.
- We recommend reading the full installation guide and confirming compatibility before proceeding with any installation of our products.
1. Warranty Coverage
At Dalton, we stand behind the quality of our products and offer a limited warranty to ensure customer satisfaction. Our warranty covers electronic components for one (1) year and mechanical components for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Dalton or an authorized reseller. It covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions.
2. What is Covered?
If a defect arises within the warranty period due to faulty materials or workmanship, we will provide a replacement for the affected part or product at no additional cost. This includes:
- Malfunctions or failures caused by manufacturing defects.
- Issues that prevent the product from operating as intended under normal use.
3. What is Not Covered?
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, improper use, or modification of the product.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or minor performance variations.
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or external factors, including fire, water, power surges, or other acts of nature.
- Any product that has been modified, repaired, tampered with, or altered by an unauthorized technician.
- Lost or stolen products.
- Damage resulting from modifications made to doors, including drilling, resizing, or structural alterations.
Some Dalton locks may require new holes to be drilled into the door for proper installation. We provide clear specifications and drilling templates to properly perform this process to the specifications required for installation.
Dalton is not liable for any damage to the door or door structure resulting from the installation process, or for any cosmetic or functional impact if the customer removes or replaces the lock.
For advanced models, a licensed professional installer should perform the installation, Dalton Locks LLC. will not be held responsible for any damage caused by improper installation, or modifications by an unqualified party.
4. Warranty Claims Process
To request a warranty claim, customers must:

Our team will review the claim and determine if the product is eligible for a replacement.

If approved, we will provide instructions for returning the defective product, and we will cover the cost of return shipping for warranty-related replacements.

Once we receive and inspect the defective item, we will ship a replacement product at no cost to the customer.
5. Limitations & Disclaimer
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. It is provided in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Under no circumstances shall Dalton be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product. Our liability is limited strictly to the replacement of the defective item as outlined in this policy.
